Our small company is considering doing our payroll in house instead of using an outside payroll service. We currently have a manual time clock and time cards and we do the math using excel and then enter it into a web based payroll system to process the payroll. We currently have 22 employees but could grow by 15 or so employees. We use Intuit Quick Books for our accounting software but do not want to pay the cost of their payroll processing. We are looking at a time clock system with badge swipe / pin entry time recording. My real question is whether or not your software will be able to import the data from the time clock or would we enter it manually with data collected from the new time clock? We want a low cost solution that has the time clock, payroll software and ability to communicate with and send data to QuickBooks software as necessary. Do you have any suggestions or can you provide a solution for us using Payroll Mate? I do like what I have read about the Payroll Mate software and I think it could work well for us. I'm just a little fuzzy on how the interface between the time clock and the software would work.
