How do I import data from Payroll Mate into W2 Mate?

How do I import data from Payroll Mate  2012 into W2 Mate 2012? I have exported the data from Payroll Mate to a WEX file but I do not see the option to import this file under the W2 Mate Import menu.

To export W2 data from Payroll Mate into W2 Mate. 

 

1. From the top menu inside Payroll Mate click Tools > Export W-2 Information to W2 Mate.
2. In the screen that comes up, click Export.
3. A dialog comes up to select the name and location where you would like to save the resulting export file. Please save the file to folder you can easily locate, such as the desktop.
4. Switch to W2 Mate software.
5. Open the company you want to import data into (create a new one if you need to). Please note that W2 Mate, does not import company information such as company name and address, you will need to enter this info manually inside W2 Mate. For each company you have inside Payroll Mate, you will need to have a corresponding company inside W2 Mate.
6. From the top menu inside W2 Mate select “Import Data > From Payroll Mate Software”.
7. In the dialog that comes up, click Browse to select the file you exported from Payroll Mate.  When you are ready to do the import, click the Import button.
8. Once the import is complete, select W2 Forms button from the left toolbar inside W2 Mate and you should be able to see the W-2 forms imported from Payroll Mate.
