Does W2 Mate 2018 W2 / 1099 Software print 1098 form acceptable by IRS?

Is e-file free? Or if I have to pay, how much?

Yes you can use W2 Mate 2018 and above to print IRS 1098 forms. You can print the Borrower copy on regular paper and the data on the pre-printed form for filing with the IRS.

1099 / 1098 E-filing is a separate option which you can purchase on top of W2 Mate software. 

 

The price for 1099 electronic filing as of 2018 version is $110. This option allows you to create SSA and IRS approved Electronic Filing (E-File) submissions for W-2 , 1099 and 1098 forms.
