For 1099 electronic filing, what needs to be put in Transmitter Name Line 1 and TCC?

I purchased W2 Mate along with the import and electronic filing features, so I could submit 1099’s on-line.

What needs to be put in Transmitter Name Line 1: & TCC?

Thanks,
Rae

TCC stands for Transmitter Control Code. Which is a 5 character code that you use when creating and uploading the 1099 e-filing submissions to the IRS (look it as your unique ID that you need to have to efile 1099s with the IRS). To obtain this code please see the question "How do I obtain a TCC code"?

"Transmitter Name Line 1" is the name of the transmitter in the manner in which it is used in normal business. This is the same name you used when you filed form 4419 in order to obtain a TCC code. The Transmitter name tells the IRS who is submitting the data electronically.

Hope this helps.
