Can I copy the 1099 Recipients information from one company into a different company?  We have a law firm in which the partnership has dissolved and I would like to copy the majority of the 1099's from the former company into the new law firm.

The easiest thing would be to create a backup file, rename the backup file to the new company name and then restore the re-named backup file.

 

To create a backup file select “Tools > Backup Company” from the top menu inside W2 Mate. 

 

To restore a backup file “Tools > Restore Company” from the top menu inside W2 Mate.
