Avalara 1099 Service discontinued, do you offer an alternative?

Our company subscribed to the Avalara 1099 services to process 1099 MISC forms. We were notified that this service has been discontinued. We are researching alternative solutions; do you offer something we can use?

Thank you for your question. Several companies contacted us recently with similar questions about Avalara 1099.

 

We offer W2 and filing solution called W2 Mate, which you can use to process 1099 forms in house. We do not offer a mailing service. You buy and download the software on your computer and print on pre-printed forms or e-File with the IRS through the FIRE System (Filing Information returns electronically system). Our software prints the recipient copies on regular white paper, so you do not need any special forms for that. When filing with the IRS you can use the red-ink pre-printed forms (for paper filing) or create e-File submission files (for electronic filing).  Data can be imported from different sources or you can enter your forms manually.
