Does your software support 1099-NEC filing with New Jersey?

0 votes
I looked everywhere on your website and could not find a definite answer to my question. We need help with the New Jersey electronic filing mandate for 1099-NEC forms. I am copying from the state website: “Beginning with Tax Year 2020, NJ is requiring mandatory electronic filing for W-2s and 1099s. The mandate includes Forms NJ-W-3, W-2, W-2G, 1094/1095, and all types of 1099s.”. So, my question to you is “Does your software support filing 1099 NEC forms with NJ and if it does what is the cost per form?” We have used another software last year, but they only support combined / fed state filling and do not support direct uploads to the state.

Thank you for your interest in our products. The answer to your question is yes, the e-File engine inside our 1099-NEC software creates electronic filing submissions that are ready to upload to the state of New Jersey through their website at treas.nj.gov. Please remember that the 1099-NEC form is not part of the combined Fed/ State program so you have to file directly with the state.

There are no per form fees, you buy the software and the e-File engine (option #4) and then you can create as many e-File submissions as you want for as many recipients as you want.

Also, if your data is inside an accounting system like Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks or Sage, you can first import the forms and then e-File with NJ. You can always type the data manually if you want.
